I dropped the game after only a few hours. I'll pick it back up, it was just hard to click with coming straight out of BG3. But that will not stop me from using every single song in this OST in my D&D campaign.

Update : it's 2024, no other video game OST has had the same effect on me as this one. Even BG3, even though I can feel Borislav got better, at least subjectively, this OST is still the best for me.

Larian's pinnacle work is better than BG3 in terms of game rules, freedom, plot and storytelling, character personality, and Soundtrack. I was very moved by the plot of Divinity: Original Sin II, and I felt a sense of redemption in the end when I played it. But not in BG3. In BG3, I only see more greed, revenge, blood and killing desire, and the calculation of piles of combat values. In terms of freedom, Divinity: Original Sin II allows characters to carry the same items in their backpacks both alive and dead, greatly increasing playability and providing more variety and practicality in skills and talents. Storytelling style, I’ll talk about it later. BG3’s animation makes me want to sleep. It doesn’t feel epic at all. Not to mention that the final battle was very boring and lacked the emotion that it should have. It was just more calculations of combat power. Soundtrack Now I will continue to listen to the Soundtrack of Divinity: Original Sin II BG3 lacks emotional aspects and is more about survival calculations. Only Song of Balduran has a story, but the plot of Balduran is not exciting and heroic enough, which makes the music lose its luster.
